Actually, as the discussion moved forward, the Tea Party seems to be coming out less as a third party and more as a political power. This is good on a number of different levels. First and foremost is the fact that, as systems are set up today, any candidate that wants a chance of winning needs to have the support of either one of the majority parties (GOP/DNC) or have a LOT of personal prestiege. By working as a power, the Tea Party can back candidates that support a fiscally conservative platform regardless of the letter at the end of their name.
Ken kept an eye on the game (it *was* Superbowl Sunday, after all) and called the game for the Saints 3 minutes in. Guess they will come marching home after all!
One thing that was mentioned during the show that will be updated on the site this week - the show for next week will probably be postponed or potentially cancelled. We'll have to see how things progress.
