Articles for Episode 354: Get Your Story Straight

When you hear some reports, you wonder if they've got their stories straight. With everything going on this week, it's been easy to find those areas where the message might be a bit off. We're going to talk about those in this episode.

My apologies for the delay in posting the episodes lately. I have been working on my MBA and am down to the end of my final term. The need to complete assignments has taken priority over the show in those cases. The good news is that by the time the next episode records I'll be done. Thanks for everyone's patience!

Episode 279: Are They Even Trying?

Another week, another late posting for an episode... I'm working not to make a habit of this, sorry again. This episode was a lot of fun, especially when it came to the jokes. I'm pretty sure we haven't had this irreverent of an episode in quite some time! Ken wasn't with us but Larry stepped in quite well.

We also had the chance to have a follow up conversation about home-schooling and some of the differences that were expressed between Larry and I. One of the great things about our show is the fact that we can disagree without being disagreeable and last week's episode left a something of a bitter taste that needed to be addressed.

Episode 267: But Will It Work?

This week we looked at a few different issues and proposals that are being discussed and asked the question, "but will it work?" It's a very lively discussion on immigration, health care and perceptions. We didn't make it through all the articles per-se so look for some topics to come up again in the future.

Our product poll has ended and we're working on getting the pricing worked out on a new store for folks to purchase items from. Look for an updated link in the very near future. Thank you for participating in the poll and thank you for your continued support!

As January ends we begin to see actions taking shape in a (sometime questionable) effort to handle a number of issues. The quesiton we have to as ourselves is, "will it work?" We discuss the issues, the proposed solutions and their effectiveness in this episode. Articles for this episode:
There are many other stories as well… not as many as last week, but they are still worth checking out!

Episode 213: Heating Up in the Winter

This episode gave us a good chance to step back and take a look at what campaigns are doing on both sides of the aisle. We talked about Obama's moves that, from our lens look like pure political steps as well as some of the things being said or done by GOP candidates. The only one we didn't have a story for was Mitt, who didn't really make any headlines this week.

There's so much to talk about we're skipping our normal opening article! Here are the articles lined up for the conversation. Remember, some times we don't even make it through all of these!
Here are the stories that we couldn't fit in the line-up tonight, including what was supposed to be our fun opening story.

In this episode we actually talked about the concept of concessions and compromise!  We also had some follow-up articles that had to be included and a disturbing story from Montana about what is and is not considered journalism.

Uh, oh, I used the "C" word, didn't I? As much as it pains me to say this, sometimes a deadlocked Congress isn't best for the people. Tonight we're going to talk about the concepts of compromise (or lack of it) as identified in the news artciles this week.
