The famous words of those caught in unexplainable situations often come out in some form of, "it's not what it looks like!" In this episode we are going to examine some articles where that seems to be a mantra of sorts. Tonight's recording may be a bit delayed depending on traffic and other scheduling.

Last week we talked about predictions and their results and this week we're going to discuss articles that indicate how things might look in the future. These aren't crackpot predictions, rather they're current events with ominous overtones.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 20: The Results Are In

Yup, the results are in and it was definitely a "see we told you so" show in several cases. There are some tangent conversations and it was interesting how some folks took different articles in different ways.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #20: The Results Are In

No comments:
When major policy actions or changes take place, there is always a group that makes predictions that some say will never happen. In this episode we are going to look at cases where they do. They aren't specifically bad results in some cases, rather they are instances where the predictions have run true.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 19: Extreme Reactions

No comments:
I think we managed to avoid, or at least prepare for, our own extreme reactions during the discussion. There were definitely some wild reactions from others, including those in the chat!

As I mentioned during the recording, we will be taking a break this upcoming weekend. There will be no recording or show for Sunday, May 24th. We'll be back for a new show the following Sunday. We hope to see you then!

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #19: Extreme Reactions

No comments:
While we strive for some level of understanding, there are times when an extreme, guttural reaction can be found. A lot of this hinges on the personal and emotional response. In this episode we look at some extreme reactions others have had.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #18: Love and Understanding

No comments:
One of the challenges of political discussions is the lack of understanding that one side has of the other. In this episode we are going to look at some articles that should help us better understand the stance on a number of issues. Whether we are talking about political opponents, activists or terrorists there is some level of rationale, misguided as it may be, behind their actions. This is not to say that we're headed for some kind of "kumbayah" moment at the end of the recording, rather the goal is to glean the method to their madness.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #14: Let the Games (Officially) Begin

No comments:
The race for 2016 has now officially started and it's time for the games to officially begin. In this episode we are going to look at a few state issues as well as where the news is going with candidates that have announced. As mentioned in the post for last week's episode there were some serious technical issues with the audio. The episode is usable but not good enough for Red State so if you've subscribed to the podcast you get a bit of a bonus. It's time for another example of real headlines that just can't be made up. We have fun with these from time to time but need to keep in mind that they represent the insanity that can exist today.

Episode 362: No Thank You

No comments:
Oh we had quite the fun time talking about things to decline as well as certain concepts that are in decline. I'm also going to decline delaying on posting the show again as it has proven to be a poor choice. We were joined by Larry, Joesf, Toawa and Naj called in for a brief bit. The interesting part of the last guest was his agreement with the current line of conversation.

From all of us here at the podcast I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! This Christmas may you have, "walls for the wind, a roof for the rain and drinks beside the fire. Laughter to cheer you, those you love near you and all that your heart may desire."

Articles for Episode 362: No Thank You

No comments:
While there are those that think saying, "no thank you" at Christmas is an insult there are things can be denied politely. In this episode we have a group of articles that point out some of these. From state issues to race and national concerns, there seem to a lot of areas where respectful refusal should be the name of the game.
