Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #11: Rendering Opinions

No comments:
While we take time each week giving our own opinions on what has happened in the news, some decisions rendered this week bear discussing. We are going to look at these items and more in this episode.

There has been an unexpected change for the podcast's presence in Second Life. We are getting more settled into our new home at Cheertopia as well as an outpost on the mainland in Ello. There have also been some delays on other initiatives as a more comprehensive plan is put in place for the show.

There are points in time when issues reach a breaking point. The interesting thing is that the timing of things might lead to a collision of timing. Tonight we're going to look at some potential areas where that could happen.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #4: Focus on Important Things

No comments:
The political games are back in full force and it's time to up everyone's "chill pill" prescriptions. While voices on the right (and some closer to the middle) are mounting their especially tall equines about the latest gaffe and sound byte, there are some major items that need to be discussed. We're going to look at some of those articles in this episode and try to ignore the honey-pot activities that seem to be captivating the mainstream.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #3: Freedom to be Ignorant

No comments:
There is always talk of freedoms and exercising rights in our country. What many people don't recognize is the fact that folks do have the right to maintain a level of ignorance. This has been perpetuated by governmental actions, a growing media and control of the news cycle. In this episode we are going to look at some articles that point this out.

Front Porch Political Talk Episode 2: Serious Ponderings and Noise

Well, it seems that of my articles we didn't have a whole lot of noise. It was an energetic conversation to say the least!

Yes, I'm a week late on posting this to the site. There are a number of changes coming but right now things are too hectic to keep up.

Articles for Front Porch Political Talk #2: Serious Ponderings and Noise

No comments:
As we continue the transition into the new podcast, we take an episode to once again try and vet the important articles from those that are just so much more frothing at the mouth. To assist with this process we've got articles from both sides and are going to work on better identifying distinguishing characteristics during the show.

We are still working on the site and my own schedule has not lent itself to implementing comprehensive site changes yet. Thank you again for your patience as we make the shift to the new show. Articles for this episode:

Episode 363: Beginning to End

No comments:
This was a great summary show for us and for the year. There was also a big announcement that folks will start to see beginning tomorrow. Yes, I'm late on this episode and yes I have a good excuse. Two of them actually…

First, it's New Years and work is super busy. Second, it's the end of the line for our podcast under the title of "East Coast Conservative Podcast". Beginning with the first episode of 2015, there are a number of changes that are going to happen:

  • Show Title is changing to the Front Porch Politics Show.
  • Recording time will be starting at 9:00pm instead of 8:30pm.
  • Work is beginning on integration with a sponsorship model for content.  The more sponsors we get, the more content we can produce.

Click Here to download the podcast, or listen using the Blubrry player (the blue ball on the right of the page).

Thank you so much for continuing to support the show!  I'm making these changes "in-place" in order to keep the history of the East Coast Conservative Podcast alive but there will be a new site and other resources released as soon as New Year's Insanity is done with.

Episode 355: Once It's There

No comments:
This is one of those shows that you have to listen to more than once. Our goal was to talk about things that, once implemented, have proven very difficult to dislodge. The conversation didn't go quite the way it was expected but in the end became a very strong example of just that fact. It's also an example of where the participants in the podcast can have a disagreement and remain civil about it.

Articles for Episode 355: Once It's There

No comments:
There is a concept with government that, "once something's in place, it's almost impossible to remove." That's not always the case but in this episode we're going to run with that theme. The articles we've got on tap point out programs, actions and mindsets that need to be adjusted before they are ingrained in America's mindset.

More articles that I could fit in the regular list but worth reading!

Articles for Episode 353: Say That Again?

We see them every week, articles that don't fit the narrative and stories so absurd you wonder if they're planted for distraction. Generally only a few sneak by but they do crop up. In this episode we're going to discuss some articles like that. These stories shed light on concepts so far off what the media wants to broadcast that they make you do a double-take.

Episode 351: Filtering Distractions

This one was another fun show to record but very late in posting to the site. We got through most of the articles in the list and disagreed somewhat on what is considered a distraction.
